Delete your Miseo account.
Miseo works without an account. You only have one if you signed in with Apple or Google to share a shopping list or join one.
In the app
Open Settings, then Account, and tap Delete account. It works the same on iPhone and Android. If Miseo asks you to sign in again, that is to confirm it is you; the delete finishes straight after.
Without the app
Write to quan.dnl.dev@icloud.com with the subject “Delete my Miseo account” and the email address you signed in with. If you used Sign in with Apple and hid your email, give the Apple ID you signed in with instead. The account is deleted within a month, and you get a reply when it is done.
What is deleted
- Your account: how you signed in, your email address and the name other list members saw.
- Lists you shared, with their items and recipes, for everyone in them. What is left of each list is removed from the server 30 days later.
- Your place in lists you joined: you leave them and your name comes off the member list. Items you added stay, because the list belongs to the person who shared it.
- The token Miseo uses to send you notifications about shared lists.
What is not deleted, and why
- Recipe links you sent are deleted on their own once their 72 hours are up, usually within a day after.
- “Share what you found” reports are folded into public counts of which shops carry which ingredients once a day, and then deleted. The counts stay; they name nobody. Three things from those reports stay under your account identifier, which carries no name or email: a trust score used to weigh reports, for six months after your last report; today’s report count and the shops someone added that you reported that day, for two days; and your identifier among those who confirmed a shop someone added by hand, or reported it gone, for three months after you last reported there. Write to the address above to have them removed sooner.
- Crash reports and, if you turned it on, usage data are not tied to your account, and Google deletes them on its own schedule.
- A purchase, if you ever made one, stays on record with Apple or Google and with RevenueCat, who handle payments, for tax and refunds.
- Everything on your phone (recipes, lists and pantry) stays until you delete the app.
The privacy policy has the rest.
